
Walnut and Herbed Cheese Log

Makes 8 to 10 servings
Ingredients
- 2 (8-ounce) packages sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups toasted chopped walnuts
- Crackers
- Apple slices
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat Cheddar and next 5 ingredients with a mixer at medium speed until creamy. Shape mixture into an 8-inch log, and roll in walnuts to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving or for up to 3 days. Serve with crackers and apples.
