What to Do

There’s plenty of relaxation and adventure to be had on Hilton Head Island. Days can be spent exploring 12 miles of pristine, wide beaches to enjoy sunny views along the water or going for a leisurely bike ride through 50 miles of public nature trails.

For a little time out of the sun, venture to one of the town’s 30 open-air shopping centers such as Shelter Cove Towne Centre or Harbour Town in The Sea Pines Resort, home to the island’s famous Harbour Town Lighthouse. Hilton Head also offers dozens of golf courses and tennis courts, or for a real adventure, try ZipLine Hilton Head or Aerial Adventure Hilton Head, where you’ll be climbing and sliding high up in the mossy live oaks with a view of the sea.

Hilton Immerse yourself in the environment through a nature cruise with Outside Hilton Head. On the Dolphin Eco Tour, you’ll start at Shelter Cove Marina and ride through the salt marshes. You’ll have breathtaking views out over the water and may even be able to see Savannah off in the distance, in addition to watching Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and a variety of birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
