Cool down during the warm days of spring with a glass of this refreshing Lime Iced Tea.
Lime Iced Tea
Makes about 1 gallon
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh lime juice (about 6 large limes)
- 11 cups water, divided
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 family-size black tea bags
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring lime juice, 1 cup water, and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, and let cool completely.
- In a large saucepan, bring remaining 10 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat, and add tea bags; cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags; stir together tea and lime syrup in a large pitcher. Cover and refrigerate until cold, 4 to 6 hours.
