Ingredients
  1. 1 pound ground chuck
  2. 1 pound ground pork
  3. ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard, divided
  4. 1½ teaspoons garlic salt
  5. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  6. 6 slices Swiss cheese
  7. 6 poppy seed hamburger buns, halved and toasted
  8. 2 tablespoons butter
  9. 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham
  10. ¾ cup mayonnaise
  11. 1 (16-ounce) jar dill pickle sandwich stackers, drained
Instructions
  1. Spray grill rack with nonflammable cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (350° to 400°).
  2. In a large bowl, stir together ground chuck, ground pork, 2 tablespoons mustard, garlic salt, and pepper. Divide mixture into 6 portions; shape each portion into a 5-inch patty.
  3. Grill patties, covered with grill lid, for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until desired degree of doneness. Top each patty with 1 slice cheese, and remove from grill.
  4. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Divide ham into 6 portions; shape each portion into a 5-inch-wide stack. Add 3 stacks to pan, and cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until lightly browned. Repeat procedure with remaining 1 tablespoon butter and remaining 3 ham stacks.
  5. In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise and remaining ½ cup mustard. Spread mayonnaise mixture onto cut sides of buns. Top bottom of buns with pickles, patties, ham stacks, and top of buns. Serve immediately.
