Cherry Hot White Chocolate

Cherry Hot White Chocolate

Ingredients
  1. 1 (12-ounce) package frozen cherries, thawed
  2. ¼ cup sugar
  3. 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  4. 1 tablespoon water
  5. 1 quart whole milk
  6. 2 cups White Chocolate Ganache (recipe follows)
  7. Garnish: white chocolate curls, maraschino cherries
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, bring cherries and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water until dissolved; stir into cherry mixture, and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and let cool to room temperature.
  3. In another medium saucepan, bring milk to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low, and slowly stir in White Chocolate Ganache until combined.
  4. Spoon cherry mixture into mugs, and slowly add milk mixture; serve immediately. Garnish with chocolate curls and cherries, if desired.

  2. 4 (4-ounce) bars white chocolate, chopped
Instructions
  1. In the top of double boiler, cook cream and chocolate over medium heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth; remove from heat.
