These Blue Cheese and Sage Muffins are a savory treat.
Blue Cheese and Sage Muffins
Makes 24 servings
Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 teaspoon ground sage
- 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
- ¼ cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400º. Spray a 24-cup miniature muffin pan with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, place flour. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly; stir in cheese and sage. Make a well in center of flour mixture.
- In a small bowl, stir together sour cream and milk until well combined. Stir sour cream mixture into flour mixture just until combined. Spoon batter into prepared cups.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool in pans for 5 minutes; serve warm.
Notes
Tip: Swap blue cheese and sage for goat cheese and rosemary if you like.
