VIRGINIA FOOD AND FUN SWEEPSTAKES OFFICIAL RULES

1. How to Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Enter the Sweepstakes by going to www.pauladeenmagazine.com and completing the online entry form by providing your name, complete address, phone number, and valid e-mail address. Limit one online entry per person and/or per e-mail address. Sweepstakes begins 12:01 a.m. Central Time (CT) September 1, 2007 and ends on entry deadline of 11:59 p.m. CT November 1, 2007. All entries must be received by the entry deadline. You may be asked to consent to receive promotional e-mails from Sponsor(s) or affiliates of same. Consent is optional and does not affect your eligibility or improve your chances of winning. Information provided by you to participate in this Sweepstakes is subject to the privacy policy of Hoffman Media. All entries become the property of Hoffman Media and will not be returned or acknowledged. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
2. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who have reached the age of majority in their state of residency at the time of entry. Employees of Hoffman Media, Virginia Tourism Corporation, and the affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, suppliers, and immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, children and each of their respective spouses) of each are not eligible. Sweepstakes is governed by U.S. law and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited by law.
3. Prizes: One (1) winner will receive a gift basket containing the following: one 'Virginia is for Lovers' boat bag; one 'Virginia is for Lovers' picnic set; one 'Virginia is for Lovers' baseball cap; one 'Virginia is for Lovers' travel umbrella; one 'Virginia is for Lovers' travel coffee mug; one 'Route 11' chip and dip set; a select amount of Virginia peanuts; candy from Nancy's Homemade Fudge; one each of Vidalia® Onion Peach Grilling Marinade, Blackberry Walnut Dressing, and Creamy Vidalia® Onion Dressing, each from the Paula Deen Collection; and one signed copy of Paula Deen's book, 'Paula Deen: It Ain't All About the Cookin: A Memoir.' Estimated retail value: $250. Ten (10) winners will each receive one signed copy of Paula Deen's book, 'Paula Deen: It Ain't All About the Cookin: A Memoir.' Estimated retail value: $60 each. The difference between actual retail value and estimated retail value of prize will not be awarded. Prize is non-assignable and non-transferable, and no cash in lieu of prize, or exchange or substitution of prize except at discretion of Hoffman Media which reserves the right to substitute a prize, or portions thereof, with a prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state, and local income taxes on prize are the responsibility of the winner. Winner(s) will be issued a 1099 tax form for the estimated retail value of the prize, and may be required to sign a Release of Liability and/or Statement of Eligibility. Failure to submit any required documents will result in disqualification.
4. Drawing and Notification: Winners will be selected in a random drawing conducted under the supervision of Hoffman Media on or about November 12, 2007 from among all eligible entries. Selected winner will be notified by e-mail, and must accept prize within twenty-four (24) hours from time of notification, or selected winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. You may request the name of the winner by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your request to 'Virginia Food and Fun' Sweepstakes WINNER, attn: Jennifer Jaquess, Cooking with Paula Deen magazine, 1900 International Park Drive, Suite 50, Birmingham, AL 35243. Any evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes will result in disqualification of the individual(s) involved. Sponsors reserve the right to terminate, modify, or suspend Sweepstakes if, for any reason, Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned because of circumstances or causes which in the Sponsors' sole judgment, affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes. If Sweepstakes is terminated or suspended, Hoffman Media reserves the right in its sole discretion to conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries received as of the termination date. Notice of any early termination of Sweepstakes will be posted on the Web site. In case of dispute as to identity of entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, HOFFMAN MEDIA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

Release of Liability: Hoffman Media is not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone, network, website, Internet, or ISP malfunctions, errors, or failures of any kind, or for any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes, or for the inability to access the www.pauladeenmagazine.com website, or for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries, or for lost, late, incomplete, mutilated, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected entries. No mechanical reproductions will be accepted, and all online entrants must have a valid email address. By submitting an entry, you agree to release Hoffman Media, Sweepstakes promoter, Sweepstakes administrator, any Sponsor(s), and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, parent companies, affiliates, respective owners, and subsidiaries from liability of any kind or nature for any loss, claims, damages, or injuries of any kind associated with participation in the Sweepstakes, or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prizes.
