Shrimp Boil Feast

Shrimp Boil Feast
  1. 7 quarts water
  2. 1 (12-ounce) bottle beer*
  3. 3/4 cup Old Bay seasoning
  4. 2 lemons, thinly sliced
  5. 2 bay leaves
  6. 3 pounds small red potatoes
  7. 2 (16-ounce) packages hickory-smoked sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces*
  8. 6 ears fresh corn, halved
  9. 3 pounds (21-to-25 count) unpeeled fresh shrimp
  10. Garnish: Old Bay seasoning, lemon wedges
  11. Horsey Cocktail Sauce
  12. Tarragon Mustard Sauce
  1. In a large covered stockpot, combine 7 quarts water, beer, Old Bay seasoning, lemons, and bay leaves.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat; boil for 10 minutes. Add potatoes; return mixture to a boil, and boil for 10 minutes. Add sausage and corn; return mixture to a boil, and boil for 10 minutes. Add shrimp, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until shrimp are pink and firm. Drain mixture immediately. Garnish with Old Bay seasoning and lemon wedges, if desired. Serve with Horsey Cocktail Sauce and Tarragon Mustard Sauce.

Note: *We used Corona Extra beer and Conecuh Hickory Smoked Sausage.
