French Toast BLTs

French Toast BLTs
Ingredients
  1. 1 (16-ounce) loaf sourdough bread
  2. 4 large eggs
  3. 1 cup whole milk
  4. 1/4 cup butter
  5. 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  6. 1 cup shredded lettuce
  7. 1 cup diced tomatoes
  8. 1/3 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
Instructions
  1. Cut bread into 1-inch-thick slices. Set aside.
  2. In a shallow dish, lightly beat eggs and milk. Dip bread slices into egg mixture, coating both sides.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook bread, for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until lightly browned. Remove from pan, and sprinkle with Swiss cheese. Top each bread slice with lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon. Serve immediately.
Makes 8 sandwiches
Note: Make it a meal with fresh fruit
