Candied Pecans

From Cooking with Paula Deen, Paula Deen's Christmas 2008

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup pecan halves
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1/2 cup water
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350˚.
  2. Place pecans on a small baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven, and set aside.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add pecans, and cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute. Pour pecans onto prepared baking sheet, separating to make an even layer; let cool.
Makes 1 cup
