Carne Asada Pizza

Carne Asada Pizza
  1. 3/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  2. 3 cloves garlic
  3. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  4. 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  5. 1 1/2 pounds top sirloin, cut into thin strips
  6. 1 recipe Traditional Pizza Crust
  7. 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  8. 2 poblano peppers, seeded, roasted, and chopped
  9. 1 onion, thinly sliced
  10. 1 Roma tomato, thinly sliced
  11. 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  1. In the container of an electric blender, combine cilantro, garlic, oil, and lime juice. Pulse until pureed; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook sirloin over medium-high heat until browned, for about 4 minutes; set aside.
  3. Preheat oven to 450°.
  4. Spread cilantro mixture over prepared crust; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Top evenly with sirloin, peppers, onion, and tomato. Sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until crust is lightly browned.
Makes 1 (15-inch) pizza
