COOKING WITH PAULA DEEN RECIPE ROUNDUP OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

Entry:
To enter, submit your recipe at www.cookingwithpauladeen.com/reciperoundup by using the online entry form provided. Or send your entry, including your name, address, phone number, e-mail address (if applicable), and your complete recipe, on an 8 1/2- x 11-inch sheet of plain white paper via regular U.S. mail to Cooking with Paula Deen Recipe Roundup, 1900 International Park Dr., Suite 50, Birmingham, AL 35243. You may also enter by completing the entry form found in Cooking with Paula Deen Magazine and sending it to the above address. Online entries must be received by midnight CT July 1, 2008. Mailed entries must be postmarked by July 1, 2008, and received by July 8, 2008. You may enter as many recipes as you like. Limit one entry per envelope. Entries must be original and not previously published. Recipe must be printed legibly or typed and include your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address (if applicable) along with:
•recipe name
•category you are entering
•sponsor product specification
•number of servings
•a list of ingredients (specifying the sponsor product(s)) with their exact quantities in the order they are used
•instructions on preparing your recipe, which must include cookware size (pot, pan, or dish), prep time (including marinating), cooking time
F(including slow cooker times) and temperature

Incomplete or illegible entries and entries not following the above format will be disqualified. DO NOT send photos or food. Each recipe entry must specify one or more sponsor products. All recipes become property of Hoffman Media and will not be returned. By entering this contest, you grant Hoffman Media the unlimited right to edit and publish the recipe, with credit and without further compensation, unless prohibited by law, in Hoffman Media publications, products, and online services and those of its corporate affiliates. Confirmation of receipt of entry may be available, but only for online entries.

Sponsor Product:
Each recipe must specify one or more of the sponsor products listed on the entry website or in the magazine. Specifying multiple sponsor products in a single recipe does not increase your chance of winning. List the sponsor product(s) specified on your entry form. Additional recipe sponsors may be added throughout the contest, so check the website or magazine for new additions. One brand winner will be selected for each contest sponsor. Judging will be based on specification of sponsor product, ease of preparation, appearance (visual appeal), taste, and originality. A recipe is limited to selection as one brand winner only. Brand winners will not receive a prize for being selected as brand winner but are eligible to win one category prize or the grand prize.

Judging:
Entries will be judged on the specification of sponsor product, ease of preparation, appearance (visual appeal), taste, and originality. Entries must be the original recipe of the contestant. Previously published recipes (such as those appearing in cookbooks, magazines and newspapers, published or promoted by food companies, or publicized on the Internet) and winning recipes from national contests will be disqualified. Category winners, brand winners, and grand-prize winner will be selected by a representative of Cooking with Paula Deen, whose decisions are final. Winners will be required to sign statement or affadavit of eligibility and release of liability. This statement includes certification that his or her recipe is original and has not been published or publicized. By acceptance of any prize, winner consents to use of his or her name and/or photograph for publicity purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Recipes may be edited by Hoffman Media representatives for clarity.

Categories and Prizes:
There are three categories: Finger-Lickin’ Appetizers (a yummy starter or a party-pleasin’ finger food); Memorable Main Dishes (one dish that will be the centerpiece for your meal); and Divine Desserts (a sweet treat to round out the menu). One category winner will be chosen for each of the three categories. One grand-prize winner will be chosen from among the three category winners. Each category winner, except the one selected as the grand-prize winner, will receive $500. The grand-prize winner will receive $25,000 but not the $500 category winner prize. Winners will be notified no later than September 15, 2008. Any winner who cannot be easily located at the address and phone number provided, or who fails to complete and return any required paperwork, to include a Statement or Affidavit of Eligibility and a W-9, within the required time will forfeit their prize, and an alternate winner will be selected for that prize.

Who Can Enter?
Entry is open to all legal residents of the United States who have reached the age of majority in their state of residence at the time of entry. Employees of Hoffman Media and the sponsoring companies, their affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies, or any member of the immediate family (parent, child, sibling, spouse, regardless of where they live) or same household of such employee (whether related or not) are ineligible.

Miscellaneous:
Hoffman Media reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest if, for any reason, the Contest is not able to be conducted as planned because of circumstances or causes which in Hoffman Media’s sole opinion affect the security, fairness, or proper conduct of this Contest. Prizes will not be awarded if the Contest is canceled. By entering, you agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Hoffman Media and Cooking with Paula Deen, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. In the event of a discrepancy in the ownership of an online entry, each online entry is considered the property of the holder of the e-mail account associated with that entry. Prize winners are responsible for taxes on the value of all prizes awarded. No substitution or transfer of prizes, except at the discretion of Hoffman Media. Hoffman Media is not responsible for misdirected or delayed mail, lost or late entries, or for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operations or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, or for malfunctions or limitations of any kind. Hoffman Media reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest if, for any reason the Internet entry portion of the Contest is not capable of running as planned, or for any other causes beyond the control of Hoffman Media which affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest. Hoffman Media reserves the right to select winners from eligible entries received as of the termination date. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state, and local regulations apply. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Hoffman Media, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Names of category, brand, and grand-prize winners will be posted on our website following publishing of winners.
